Microsoft, which really ruled the world after the advent of Windows, could not let somebody else dominate the gaming business. Sony with its Nintendo was literally dominating the gaming scene all over the world. Microsoft therefore had to take action, and it was in the form of Microsoft XBox Games, its first version named as XBox 360. By introducing XBox Games, Microsoft wanted to announce to the world its intention to dethrone Sony’s Play station.
If one goes by the number of units that Microsoft has been able to shift of XBox games, it has indeed made a determined bid to dethrone Sony from its position of dominance in the game console genre. Xbox games have sold more than 20 million units worldwide since it was launched in 2001. Though the debut of XBox games is nothing less than spectacular it needs some more steps to outsell Sony’s Play station 2. It is owing to the fact that Sony has a time lead as it was launched in 1999, while XBox games came into vogue only after four years.

Here’s an introduction to the Xbox 360. The successor to Microsoft’s Xbox, the Xbox 360 was the first of the seventh generation consoles to come onto the market. It offers a considerable increase in performance over its predecessors, with an emphasis on convergence - moving towards being your complete home entertainment center, not ‘just’ a game console.
Convergence can be a bad thing. Nintendo’s Wii, for instance, does one thing and does it very well. That doesn’t mean the 360 is the gaming equivalent of that combination toaster /digital camera/mp3 player. As well as a quality gaming experience, a fully kitted out Xbox 360 is a DVD player, a web browser, a chat room, a webcam, and, erm, a digital camera and mp3 player.

Surf around the monitors of a laptop among the corporate citizens, it would be invariably found that most of them would be hooked on to a PC games on their machine. PC Games, since the time, computers came into being has been a necessary component of any combination of a PC. In the era when the monitors were black and white, and mouse as a necessary accompaniment of a PC was evolving, PC games were not able to catch the eyeballs. However, when Windows made its debut and the mouse came into being as a necessary component, transformation of PC games started with a flourish.
The PC games became so much intoxicating that the personal computer manufacturers started selling games of a particular genre in their machines to appeal to a particular category of market. So, you would find that there are certain manufacturers who bundle their computer with PC games, which would be of particular interest to children. They market the games in such a manner that the children become a deciding authority in purchasing a home PC.
